Kurt Deproot says:

“This is a tip for those that roll their own boilies. With the arrival of spring many of us start baiting up our target waters on a regluar basis. While reglar baiting can be a big advantage, you must remember that the carps’ metabolism is still slow and consider how digestible your bait is. One trick that’s worked well for me is to use fewer eggs when making the boilies, and substitute the ‘missing’ liquid with water. I’ll use 1/2 to 2/3  the recommended quantity of egg and the remaining ½ or 1/3 water.”
